You didn't say what year your car was, but on the watercooled turbos, I've found it was easier to leave the top coolant pipe on the turbo and disconnect it from the feed line over by the right side (near the thermostat) of the engine. There is no real way I can see to get a 19 mm wrench onto the top banjo fitting while the turbo is the car. The rest of the fittings are just moderately difficult to get off.
Otherwise, it should be a relatively simple job if it weren't for the fact that the attachment bolts are practically fused on to the studs.
A 13 MM stubby combination wrench is helpful in the close quarters. Also make sure you get the special exhaust nuts that are copper colored with a crimp on top. The high heat-cool cycles will loosen a normal bolt even with a lockwasher.
