Hi Gene, Yes this car has been a real life project. I blame myself for taking on just about every aspect that you can with the car. I have the luxury that I have another SAAB to drive while I do the work. As I go through the car I'm finding more and more things that I should replace. The heat shield being one ot them. Naming everything would be a good paragraph by itself. I think my parts budget went from $1k to $2.5k in a hurry. My wife asks me when will the boxes stop coming. Just a few more dear.
I would consider myself half way there. I'm just waiting for all the various parts/seals etc.
I want to complete all the chasis stuff first before I start on putting the engine back together. What I have left is to put on the new struts, CV joint boots (both outers were cracked) and redo the rear control bushes that I put in backwards :-(
So in the meantime I decided to put in a new stero system with Blaupunkt head unit, Blau Amp, Polk component system front and rear plus 10" Blau sub. I'm 1/4 done with that. It has been nice shifting to the electrical stuff. I was starting to burn out turning the wrench so much.
Time to go home and happy Memorial Day to everyone. Bye
BrianZ
