My 1990 2.3 non turbo clutch got progressively squishier over the distance of a couple of miles, until it stayed on the floor. I was told that it was the master cylinder because, when the slave cylinder fails, it is usually catastrophic, like immediate! Well, I've ordered a master cylinder, but in the meantime, I added fluid to the reservoir and now have clutch power again. I do think I have a small leak cause the level in the reservoir is slowly decreasing. Could it still be the slave? It's working fine, but makes me a little nervous since I've already had to have it towed once.
Would appreciate all comments and experiences. Thanxx
