At least in my 93 Aero, the bypass solenoid connects to a valve on the left fender that looks identical to the TCS dump valve on the firewall. I'm assuming there's going to be no vacuum/pressure on the bypass until TCS tells it to. Think I'm going to tee a gauge in there and see how it behaves. If there's no pressure there under boost, then conceivably the boost could push the bypass open a bit before it needs to be.
Alternatively, I COULD just turn the valve around the other way and see if it works better! But that's way too easy.
