I have gotten lots of great info from all of the posts and need to purchase shocks/struts for my car and maybe more. I have done suspension changes to my last car, a VW Passat. I actually had 4 different setups on the thing. Anyway, I notice that some 1998 CSE 9000's set higher than mine. Mine is low like many Aero's , yet I have not been able to confirm what exactly the spring setup is. I have color codes of:
Front > orange-white-yellow-white-orange
rear > yellow-green-white

The car currently rides terribly loose and is not very safe in my estimation. The shocks/struts are definately gone and will be replaced. I have 60,000 miles and I can't decide if I should replace the springs or not. I am satisfied with the ride height but would not be against upgrading to the Kilen springs. I don't want to much drop since my past experience has not been good with lowering over 1 inch.

My old 1991 9000 Turbo had over 200,000 miles and the suspension was still great. So I can't figure why this suspension is expired already. I like what BillJ has said and also Joe98 about suspensions and all the others I have read comments from in the past posts.

My question is ... Should I change both the springs and the shocks/struts or just the shocks/struts??? Do you guys think the springs are still good or possibly worn out due to the shocks/struts being bad??

I know this is a redundant question to some, but I want to due this change right the first time and have it work!!! I also plan on the bushings to be done at a later time.

Thanks all...
Mike
