but if you have a nice Dremel (sp?) tool, you may cut all the way around the outside molding. You may incur minimal damage but you might cut the wires from the electrical wires to the solenoid. Still don't think you can put it back together without any air leak because the vacuum lines are part of the housing.
I broke the then defective BPC valve by throwing it on the garage floor really really hard a couple of times :-O.
