Following up on my 94CS being stranded 10 miles from home not being able to shift into gear...
Got the master cylinder and the shift coupler from Sobstory in the mail. Replaced the master earlier. It is a pain because the tight space but not brain surgery. Next step is to bleed the hydraulic system. Used the bicycle pump method which I did many times. This time, there is only air gurgling out of the slave nipple.
If it is the slave cylinder, it is as bad as a clutch job. I think the weekend is gone. Whoever designed the clutch hydraulic of this SAAB should be fired in my opinion. Why did he put the slave cylinder inside the transmission housing? To help the SAAB repair shops and dealers make more money pulling transmission apart every time a slave cylinder goes bad?
