No, there was only one wire, the red one from the compressor, through an inline connector, with a blue wire in the other side, going to the harness.
The other one was the blue one going under the clamp to the clutch.
Yes, it is the prongs on the black plastic connector shown on the picture which are damaged, having been pushed downwards by the wayward serpentine belt.
It was so loose it just fell off in my fingers, but I can't see how it should be attached.
Would a new one just push on, or might there be some damage to the fixed part?
The bottom end of the connector has a short bare wire still attached, but the location is rather inaccessible so I can't see whether there's any more of it left on the clutch assembly, or whether there's an earthing post nearby.
Obviously, I'd like to avoid having the compressor removed (or worse, replaced) just for the sake of a little connector.
