Help a stranded American in Austria

Hello,
My name is Jane and I live in Vienna and own a SAAB 1992 9000CSE. I just paid a mechanic close to $1000 for a tune up and new brake drums and my car is doing the same thing I took it into him for. The language is a real barrier. Every other day or so, the car will be going down the road(or most often, stopped at a light) and suddenly stop running. Sometimes it starts right back up but other times it takes about 10 minutes. Then it starts again and runs OK until the next time. When it stops, it revs up but won't turn over. As you can probably see, I am a complete neophite when it comes to mechanics so I thought I would come to the experts and see if someone can give me a clue as to what to try to tell the mechanic when I take it back in. He drives it and it drives great for that short period (of course) and he says it drives great!! I am so frustrated and tired of holding up traffic until my car decides to start again. I hope someone can help me. Thank you for any advice you can give.
Jane
