Hey Folks,
I posted a while back about my '94 Aero with 68k that supposing had the busted timing chain, that turn out to be a broken plastic chain guide. This broken guide apparently jammed the chain and bent some of my valves. I've ordered all new parts(guides, chains, tensioners and a rebuilt head from Erriksons. All the parts are running me around $1,000. I am planning the reassembly on Monday and will be taking my time. I am following the books reliously. I have a few questions I hope someone can clear up on:
(1) When you install the head, do you need any sealent along the head gasket?
(2) When you bolt the clutch on the flywheel, do you need a special tool to line up the clutch disk, in order to accept the tranny?
(3)Sepentine belt, does anyone have a diagram of how the belts should look after installation?
(4)Do I need a special tool for the belt tensioner?
Thanks guys, and sorry for the million questions.
Patrick
