Yeah Aaron, That's exactly what I meant, although it didn't come out that way. I think these stock gauges are all off somewhat and different from car to car, we all agree on that. I would have hoped that the fuel cut off switches would all be set kinda of the same though. Something like 15-16 psi would be fine with me. As Quasi say though he thinks there's a much wider gap from car to car when dealing eith these switches. I really don't want to believe that as it basicly says the SAAB guys who built these things were'nt concernd about accuracy, then I remember they built aircraft also and things kinda get scary form that point on. That sucks, however Quasi may be right in more general terms that is. I am now just wondering though by how much these things can vary? Would one cars switch have been set to say 15 psi, and another set at say 18, or even 19 psi? Surely that can't be a good thing? I would as both of you suggest accept the reading from my VDO over the stock boost gauge any day. The point I was trying to make that for some reason got lost somewhere though was this. I can believe that the aftermarket gauges are calibrated(Autometer, VDO, Blah, Blah, Blah), but as you have mentioned to what tollerences have they been calibrated? I have worked with many calibrated items in my time and most of them are off somewhat from a true reading. So, when talking about these gauges I would expect the same simply because the majority of these items don't cost but a few bucks(under $50)so calibrated they may be. To what extent we don't know. I still think that +/- 1 psi is fine by me though. Your findings also seem to bring truth to this as well.
