I just changed my fuel pump on a 93 and the tank guage is connected to the pump housing. My pump is located under the trunk flooring. Do a search on this page for fuel pump and you'll get all the reponses that I got.Sometimes the tank float mechanism gets sticky. Maybe it needs some cleaner sprayed on it.
