that think they can repair TCS problems, but doesn't quite understand how complex they are.

The TCS system doesn't need time to straighten out after a big component is replaced. You replace it,testdrive the car,calibrate the TCS and then your done. And the car is suppose to work like always.

But it have taken me about 6-7 years to get a grip of this problematic system, reading and testing a lot. So I can understand that for a mechanic that is only in to this profession for the quick money, he wont take the time to figure it out.
Especially since this system was used only between 92-95 here in US.

Back to your problem, Fault codes are "only a guide" and should be handled with carefully.
And since your car is the latest and last of all the updated components, I can't say for sure if the throttlebody is the fault or not.

That's where it also comes into play if you are a longtime good customer at a particular shop. Throwing a throttlebody on the car and let the customer try it out is not that big of a deal. Within a couple of weeks you will probably know if it worked.

Maybe you can work out a deal, but then again if they don't know how to calibrate the system or maintain that it's not possible on a stickshift, you shit out of luck anyway.

The Bible that any TCS mech should have is P/N 360461 Printed in 1995.
