Yes, I feel "shit out of luck". I talked to another indie here in illinois, and at least he was honest and said he didn't have the tools or knowledge to calibrate the system. He also stated that it is their policy not to charge someone, for just reading codes. At this point, I wish I still lived in Maine, where there is a SAAB mechanic every 3 blocks or so. Not quite sure where to turn aside from changing expensive parts, or pounding on the throttle body with a screwdriver as was recommended as a fix in a post I recently read....
Update..
Note, last night I decided to look inside the throttle body, and cleaned it because it had quite a bit of gunk in it. After the cleaning, I noticed that the pattern of LHM has changed... Sometimes the car starts in Limp (new) and even once got into extended boost before it kicked into Limp after slowing down (for a moment, I was very excited!). For the last month, it has been like clockwork that at maybe 30% throttle, the TCS would kick me into LHM. What is the significance of this? It is acting radically different.
