I have replaced over the years, where it have been costumers of ours for a long time and I know that the right plugs have been used and gapped correctly.
And I add the NG900,9-3 and 9-5 DI cassettes that are failing, with everything from a couple of thousands of miles to 20-30K ( from factory )
And I compare my data with Volvo 960/90 models that we have in the shop with a similar ignition coil system, but they use a seperate coil for every plug. And with almost no failures at all. And if they fail, you can replace that particular coil only.
The TRIONIC system is great when it comes to clean exhuasts and performance, but I wish they had put a little bit more reliability into it. Especially since the DI cassettes have been failing from 1990 when it was introduced.
