I'd rather have the 60k in one year than in four years, especially if it was "highway" miles. It means that the engine spent far longer at optimum operating temperatures with all (or almost all) of the corrosives being purged by the heat from the engine lubricant. The exhaust system will have been hot with no condensates present to rust it out from the inside. The only gamble that you are going to have to take is whether or not the car was thrashed during the year that it accumulated the mileage. If it was, then look out for some major repairs coming your way soon.If the mileage was cruising miles, then I'd tend to discount what's on the clock.
Just my thought on the matter.
