Have Foooled with the APC.. found out that US Boost specs are different than everyone else's tho.. Saab Guru's OEM Saab manual sez 13.8 max boost and 5.8 Base Boost.. no one seems to believe it tho.. obviously Saab printed their Workshop manual incorrectly :-)
Turned F from 6'o clock to 11, P from 5 'o clock to 9 . Car goes much better. reaches close to 14 (have not yet measured accurately)'holds' at
about 11 ish. Went and purchased the resistors for both the "Red Box" and the other mod (bypassing r42)from Turbo team site.
There is a problem that's surfacing tho.. Shift speed and Tire Spin.
Shift speeed is simply not fast enough to make most use of Turbo power (without mashing it unecessarily forcefully into gear.. it's simply s.l.o.w) without exaggeration my old '71 Beetle shifts quicker/easier.
And Tirespin! when there is water/moisture onna road simply hitting upper yellow sets the tires to spinning.. in first 4 gears (haven't tried 5th) Granted the Boys' Mxv's are not the world's best tire, but they certainly ain't the worst either.
Seems this car is best suited to long pulls onna dry road.. very little real possiblity of effectively going up and down the gears at will while using the generous power of the Turbo.
Turbo boost is great fun.. a bit dissapointing that everthing else seems not quite equal to the power.
