Eddie, it doesn't take that long to get the IAC valve out. First, remove
the hose from the I/C at the throttle body. Then remove both hoses
that attach the IAC solenoid to the TB, at the TB. Slide the IAC with
it's rubber hanger off of the pin and then the electrical plug can be
easily disconnected. Once disconnected, the solenoid can be pulled
out and then the two hoses can be removed at the solenoid. I gave
mine a good shot of carb/choke cleaner, while holding my thumb
on the open port, and shook it a bit. If the crud has built-up, you may
need to use a small toothbrush to remove that nasty plaque! Anyway,
it should only take about a half-hour to do........
