Well, it's not too hard, I did it myself without instructions several times, and I'm not a skilled mechanic at all. I wouldn't know where to star to replace a window regulator, for example. I was very slow, about 30 minutes each, but it wasn' very difficult.
Let's see: IIRC, there are the two screws under the handle, the two at the sides at the door poket (they have a matched colored cover, take it off with a screwdriver), the one behind the courtesy light, the two (or one?) behind the lever to oper the door (how do you call it?!), and a couple (maybe three )of pressure pins, just pull to pul them away (just push to mount them)(they are in the low side and in the front side). And, of course, the link on the top of the panel, next to the window: you just have to pull up, with window down it's much easier, watch out not to break anything because you have to use some force here.
I think it's all. The only difficulty to me was that they all are torx screws, and I didn't had the right tools. The ones on the handle are very deep so if you don't have the right tool it's a bet to unscrew them. Ah, yes, and the mirror switch was a surprise, but it seems you already passed this step.
Anyway, this is for a '87, like mine.
Good luck, keep posted with the regulator.
