Although actually it sounds like you have a pretty good handle on it already!

If it were me, I'd lose the 900's, buy the Aero, and keep the 535. The bimmer's a bit more "sporty", and you're right that torque steer is a bit of an issue with the Aero. On the other hand, driving on slippery surfaces or hauling large cargo, you'll want the Aero. The Aero's seats are a factor too - many people (myself included) love them, especially for long trips. But some people hate them too, so I'd try to spend a little time with the car before buying.

As to the "general Saab vs. BMW" question, they're both well-built cars that have a long life expectancy if properly cared for. Both cars have pretty strong images - Saab is considered "quirky" and has a somewhat undeserved reputation for being unreliable. BMW, depending on who you ask, is either considered a "snobby" or "sporty" car.

Two further points about the Aero: If it has traction control (TCS), you might want to stay away - the traction control system is considered very troublesome and expensive to repair. Automatic transmissions can be problematic also, plus the 225hp engine only comes with the 5-speed.
