Keep the Bimmer!
Having owned an '85 535i 5sp and now an '88 9000T 5sp, I can tell you that the BMW is more satisfying to drive.
I don't know what it is. On paper, the 9000T is the better car. Its so comfortable and smooth on the highway, gets over 30mpg on the highway, great safety, handles decently, has the hatchback, decent in snow (from what I've heard), the seats are really nice, and with mild modifications ('88 9000T) can roast the '89up 535i on acceleration (I've done it).
Whatever you do, don't ditch the 535i! Learn from my mistake. The mistake wasn't getting the Saab 9000T, the mistake was getting rid of the BMW. I miss that car every day. Technically you won't go wrong buying the Aero if you find a decent one, but there's something special about driving the BMW that you won't miss until its gone, and believe me, you'll miss her when she's gone!
Keith.
