I've had some bad/expensive experiences with their workman ship. They re-built my engine & auto gearbox for a region of £3000. There didn't check my auto fluid level, and when I did, there was nothing on the dip stick. But it was too late, my reverse was damaged, it now takes at least three seconds to engage reverse and it slips when accelerating.
My water pump was constantly leaking, and they tried to blame me for fitting it, when in fact it was them that fitted it.
Within a year my head gasket went, and they charged £1200 to sort it out. On closer inspection a few weeks after, they had attached my turbo to the manifold with one bolt, and left the other three off.
I had an open air induction kit fitted, which caused problems with my engine, but I now know it was sucking in hot air, I should of fitted a heat shield. But they said the 9000 B202 engine needs the air box for the turbo to function properly.
They don't have a rolling road; they said it does not get enough air into the engine to set it up properly. So instead they race up and down the country roads. How are you supposed to get the best results with performance parts fitted (i.e.)timing, fuelling etc, by racing it, and not monitoring by a computer, and adjusting everything accordingly with the revs and speed?
Finally, every time I brought my car to them, and they did something, within a week or two weeks I had to return my car because something else went wrong. Coincidence? I don't think so.
They over charge and their products are over priced!!
They seem to have a lot of apprentices, and I think they like to practise on our cars, which causes expense for us.
The best place for parts is speedparts on the internet, and if you live in England, Trent Saab up in Nottingham. They are friendly, the products are cheaper, and they are honest.
