As George said, best bet is to get the correct valve from a different source. Beware of one thing, though - the valve has been redesigned to make it more reliable, and a lot of aftermarket vendors are still selling the old one. Of course, some dealers may be doing this also!
The new valve is about 1" in diameter and ~3/4" long excluding the hose fittings, and is all white. The old design is a bit smaller and is made of plastic of 2 different colors, beige and gray.
I'd definitely stick with the correct part. You can find check valves from a lot of sources, but few are made of materials that will tolerate the oil/gas/exhaust fumes and crud that must pass through that valve, as well as the high temperatures it's exposed to. Also the opening-pressure varies quite a bit on check valves, the Saab one is specifically designed to work with the engine's parameters.
