About the brake fluid level. I don't know if you followed the proper method to check the level. Start the car and wait for the ABS and Brake Fluid lights to go out. Keep waiting until you hear the ABS pump stop running. Or, just start the car and wait one minute. Open the hood, and check to see that the brake fluid is at the "Full With Charged Accumulator Line". That line is well below the top. If you're not comfortable with messing under the hood with the engine running, let it run for a couple of minutes and then stop it and check.
If you let the car sit overnight, and without starting it, open the hood and check, you'll see that the fluid level is well ABOVE the full line. This is normal. Once you start the car, the level will DROP to the FULL line.
The ABS and brake boost system uses stored pressure to operate. It does this by charging an accumulator, that ball shape by the brake master cylinder. When the car sits, pressure leaks down from the accumulator (this is normal), and the fluid flows back into the brake fluid reservoir (the translucent plastic container you see), so the line rises above Full. When you start the car, the ABS pump runs and pumps fluid from the reservoir to the accumulator, so the level drops.
So always check the level after the car has been running.
