Get an Aero if possible. At that vintage, you won't be looking at a significant difference in price between the two models. I bought my '97 CSE because it was absolutely mint, had very low mileage, and still had 9mo. factory warranty left. Otherwise I would have bought an Aero. The '97 or '98 CSE is a better alternative to an Aero than a pre-'97 CSE. The '97 has the complete Aero bidy kit. The '98 CSE also has the 225hp Aero engine. Like Michael says, the Aero seats are world class and probably reason enough to get one. The pre-'98 5-speed CSE produces 200hp vs. 225hp for the Aero. However, torque figures (what really matters) are closer (238ftlbs. vs. 252ftlbs.). Both cars are torque limited to170 ftlbs. in first and second gear. So, in my opinion, you're really only getting a marginal advantage with the Aero engine, and only at highway speeds.
