'95 Aero with a 3mo old belt. She went out to move the car to a safer parking spot in her lot, heard something pop faintly, and noticed that the alt light was on, and power steering harder. She immediately shut off the engine and gave me a call. We had it towed home. I replaced the idler and tensioner pulleys, then noticed that the tensioner was doing a lot of bouncing when the AC kicked in. Replaced the tensioner shock, and no problems since!
So I'm pretty proud of my gal. Nice to have some common sense. She also has the good sense to let me buy some new toy- er- tools to keep our 9Ks in shape. As previously mentioned, my stock with her went up when a couple of weeks after picking up a spare DI her Aero died, and I was able to plug in the new DI and have her back on the road in 5 min.
