We bought a 1992 Saab 9000 CS two years ago. It had 150,00km on it, a good maintenance record, and a one-year guarantee. But I can hardly begin to list the things that have gone wrong:
1) light bulbs in back out (although replaced, one still doesn't function)
2) radio blew out - dealer took it out, said it was broken. He replaced the battery, but we are afraid to replace the radio, for fear it will blow the electrical system entirely.
3) indicator lights constantly going on and off; as soon as one is fixed, another one comes on somewhere else
4) brakes squeal; although dealer said there was nothing wrong with them, the car did not pass inspection and we had to have the brakes replaced entirely (1000 Euros!). Brakes still squeal.
5) sunroof will not open
6) heated front seats no longer work
7) front panel heats up when driving
8) tachometer needle jumps, car shudders when signaling to change lanes on the highway at over 100 km. This is very scary!
9) we have taken the car several times to be repaired. We have changed repair shops. Nobody seems to be able to get this car into reliable running condition. Does anybody have a clue as to what might be wrong with the car?
