I just contacted the SAAB mechanic. He gave very short answer: the throttle body needs to be replaced. He claims that driving gently (no flooring the pedal) could prevent TCS CTRL from ever popping up, but eventually I would fall into permanent LHM again.
Well, my TB is surely the old type (9109075) so perhaps I should replace it anyway. I could, however, wait with the replacement for a while, especially that LHM is not that scary to me anymore (oh well, it might be dangerous in some situations) and I am still not quite convinced TB is all to blame. Anders, any advise on this one would be greatly appreciated.
BTW, when I mentioned auto tranny being rebuilt, I forgot to add that it took place about a year before permanent LHM occurred preceded by many intermittent ones.
