The O2 sensor replacement went fine (though lengthy due to the JT bung being slightly shorter than the threads of the old sensor), but the fuel filter was a major disaster, leading to the car having been towed to an indie Saab shop to be replaced.
The rear/inlet banjo fitting bolt would not come out, no matter how hard or what I tried. In fact, the fuel filter was starting to crush at the point that the banjo bolt enters it (I posted on this earlier).
Anyway, I noticed that the front/outlet banjo fitting (the black plastic portion) was starting to kink since the filter was rotating within its hold-down clamp and the front fitting was still attached. I was able to remove the front fitting and straighten the kink back to normal (this was before the car went to the shop).
Could one of the fuel lines be damaged now? If that's the case, could this cause a "no-boost" condition since the fuel pressure is lower due to a constriction? Would this cause the CEL to come on (it hasn't)?
I haven't had a chance to check anything out yet (work, school, and kids got the best of my time...), so I'm gathering all these tips to look into over the weekend.
