I've been called an idiot many times! The clutch job seems a bit pricy, is that from a SAAB dealer, or an independent mech? As far as a cv joint... inner or outer? If you are going to do that job by yourself, then might as well pull the tranny too, shouldn't take that much longer. If it indeed your slave cylinder, which is in the bell housing, your clutch would probably feel a bit 'squishey' and not completely disengage the clutch when fully depressed. As fa as the car warming up... I'm thinking that maybe a good bleed on the complete hydrolic system. Are the brakes soft also until it warms up? They use the same hydrolic system. As far as it is worth it; I would again say yes, but I am now a diehard SAABer. I bought a whole parts car for $350, with a good tranny and motor, interior was excellent, ect... I needed a tranny for mine, and it was cheeper to buy the car rather than a used tranny, and now the car is going up for the winter, and getting completely redone to showroom new!
I think it's woth it...
