Hey Pete:
I too say go for it. We've had 2 classic '900s (as well as a NG900) in the family, and I finally broke down and bought a used one-owner 9000. Got to say I love it. The ride is great, the interior room upfront and in the rear is massive, the cabin electronics are cool. I sometimes miss the funkiness of the C900 (things would be perfect if the ignition was on the floor), but this car screams "road trip" and despite its size, can get incredibly good mileage. On a recent trip I got over +32 mph w/ air conditioner on highway.
Have fun, and check the board for typical high mileage items to stay on top of.
