I have a 94 9000 Aero and 03 9-3SS Linear, so when the 9-3SS is in for the service I always get a loaner. And two months ago I had fully loaded 2004 9-5 Arc loaner for an entire weekend and let me tell you, I fell in love with that car. Strangely, my initial impression with the Arc was it was just a glorified Toyota Avalon due to its floaty handling (compared to my 9-3SS right after dropping it off) at slow speed. But after having driven it for a while, I got used to it and the handling was, in fact, excellent and still inpired confident. The car hugged the road but still provided comfortable ride, whereas my 9000 Aero always crashes over bumps. The car slso had paddle shift on steering wheel which made the car so much fun to drive (I redlined it in every gear since it was a loaner:). Also the engine is wonderfully smooth and surprisingly almost as torguey as my 9000 Aero.

I came away very impressed witht the 9-5. I've never driven the 9-5 Aero but would imagine that it's much better than the Arc. I believe that one has to live with the 9-5 for a while to truly appreciate how wonderful the car is.
