Townsend has a good detailed procedure which I followed for my 2.0L Turbo. It went smoother than expected for a first time effort.A good shortcut if you have lifting help is to leave turbo attached as well as fuel rail and fuel injectors (remove upper part of intake manifold) I reused head bolts to no apparent detriment after measuring length to make sure they were not previously reused (specs are somewhere on the web, sorry I did not note the source)
