What should I be looking for? Thanks for your reply. I assume that you are pointing me towards the connector to the T5 ECU, right? I also need some information on what to be looking for and how to go about it, i.e. do I need a breakout box to isolate pin 36, is a multimeter sufficient or do I need a scope, is this a transitory signal or am I looking for a short, any hints of where to be looking? Or do i just disconnect the T5 connector and measure (volts/ohms to ground) the wire that goes to pin 36? Or.....? I'm not a novice to troubleshooting electronic circuits (former EE), but it's been a while and I do not personally have the lab equipment that I once had access to.
Someone already told me to just get a new ECU, but that's an expensive way to diagnose a problem, especially if it is not the root cause!
