Hi there,
I wrote something about this back in Feb. sometime, and in my experience the only way to get them out is to cut. I used a die grinder with about 3 or 4 cutting discs. First thing is to cut the shock piston, then lever the shock over to the side to get the die grinder between the sway bar and the shock, and then cut the head off the bolt and also the nut. This takes some time and you have to go at it from a few different angles and you will most likely need new swaybar bushings after you're done. I found that the difficult part was NOT cutting the structure that holds the shock and swaybar in place and only getting at the bolt.
Believe me when I say that I know this isn't what you want to hear, but I spent a very frustrating day trying every other method I could. If they're seized the only way is to cut. After I got it all apart I found that the bolt was absolutely fused to the shock and the swaybar. About 2 hours per side with the cutting tool. Some nuts, a threaded rod and washers will work to fashion a press to fit the new swaybar bushings.
Good luck
Derek
