and he said NOT in that car as the heater core passages are likely to plug up with BL. He said not so on the 9K. I don't know.
People here are divided, but I wonder if anyone has had a problem they can attribute to using BL. Would be intersting to know.
I think there are different flavors of Barrs Leaks. I have run the stuff in the silver bottle in my 9K since I got it 5000 miles ago and the heater is working fine. Quasi thinks it is good stuff and I find much of what he says is on target, so I have gone with it.
It is NOT a cure all, but I look at it as something that might help slow or stop a leak that could cause a problem before it is detected.
But there is still no subsititute for changing your coolant regularly and keeping an eye out for leaks.
