Follow-Up on Previous Rear-Wheel Noise Question...

Sorry to repeat my earlier post, but I'm at a loss.
Has anyone who has cross-drilled rotors observed audible noises from the rear wheels when they spin freely? Sort of sounds like small marbles moving lightly against each other, "shrrsh, shrrsh, shrrsh."
This is NOT the noise of the pads on the rotors, and the emergency brake seems fine (thought perhaps it could be the emergency brake since noise is on both rear wheels, but not on fronts).
In addition to the new rotors, I have new ROH rims on the car. Have to test whether the new lug bolts might be a TEENY bit too long. If the bolts WERE just a bit too long, would they perhaps strike the wheel sensor? What WOULD happen if the lug bolts were a tiny bit too long?
I have the noise from both rear wheels, and the rythmic pulse of the noise increases as the wheels rotate faster.
TIA for any help!
