... come up with the MAXIMUM ammount that you can spend on this project NOW... like readily available funds... not funds that you mIGHT get or are oqed to you... cause then your project relies to heavily on other things going well, and things of this nature need the LEAST ammount of things that can go wrong... hehe...

...anyways, so get your MAX ammount... then just start researching where you would get a rebuilt transmission from, how much it would run you...and i guess go from there...

if you find someone parting out a car, from which the swap parts for the manual you need can most of what you need from it cheaply...

i guess if you just wanted the swap, you COULD do it all with used parts... if you wanted to...

the labor on the swap itself was about $1000 from my mechanic... so...

it's not THAT bad... cheaper than buying a new car, and in my opinion SAFER, because you already KNOW what parts/problems have been fixed on your car that you own currently...

...buying another car is ALWAYS a gamble with your money... the swap would be a sure thing, you just have to commit to the whole cost...
