87 octane? hmmm, really strange for me - an European. have never seen such low octaned fuel. The lowest here has 91.
And 93? hmmm, Do U get full performance with this low octane? Saab recommends, and I use 95 or 98 to make the engine feel happy.
Anyway, some time ago Shell and after them OMW started to supply 100 octane fuel. They promise higher performance etc, the ads are full of Michael Schumacher grinning, while driving with Shell V-power Racing... disgusting. Also this fuel is expensive like hell, but I think Saab owners are not really the right example of parsimony anyway... I'd sometimes give it a try, at least when going to some race once my baby is finished. What's your opinion about putting such high octane to our engines?
