I've been fighting with limp home /tcs for several months now, and thought I had it licked.

Prior to my attempts to fix anything, he old TCS solenoid valve would occasionally buzz loudly upon early morning startup, and I would get the permanent TCS light even before the car was cranked over.

I replaced the TCS valve with a new blue style, (but I did not replace the check valve which is still the dreaded black and white), I cleaned up the connections throughout the system, and I cleaned and lubed the TB butterfly on the old style 92 TB.

I know these old TB's were an issue, but the car then worked perfectly for a month. I was in Saab heaven!

Then a few days ago after it was 90F, and then dropped to 50F overnight, the BRAND NEW TCS valve was buzzing again on early morning key on, and the TCS light was on (limp home). I sprayed a tiny bit of cleaner/lube in the valve openings and in the check valve, and it stopped the buzzing, but the car had to sit in the sun till noon before it behaved normally again.

Same thing the last 2 mornings, (but with no buzzing anymore)!!!

Question: Would the TB cause this buzzing of the solenoid! Seems the TB would likely be affected by hot/cold since there is a vacuum chamber of sorts in there. It holds a vacuum fine.

I,m ready for a new TB, if recomended, but could it be the old check valve or something cheaper than the TB??? (92 9000 CD...136k)

Thanks in advance!
