hose. It may not be obvious but go through the lenght of the hose very carefully. Squeeze on the hose and see if you can locate a slit-like crack. This would be my bet. The hose should be relatively inexpensive, even from a dealer.
Oh, yes, is the coolant reservoir cap on properly ? Make sure it is screwed in snuggly (not real tight however) when cold.
Given the vintage of the car, it's about time for the upper hose to go. I have a 1995 Aero and the upper hose went a few years ago.
Do you get a puddle underneath the car after refilling the coolant reservoir ? If so, then just trace the leak. If you only get a leak with engine running, then you may want to briefly start the engine and see if you can see coolant spilling out anywhere.
If you can't seem to find the leak, tow it to a shop and they can pressure test the system to locate the leak.
The temperature gauge in a '95 and later car isn't the greatest as it is controlled by the ECU and you could lose a lot of coolant and start to overheat but the gauge would still read normal (guess how I knew).
