...until i cleaned it out.
I know i did this wrong after the fact, but what i did was:
Take the bpc completely out of the car.
attached a wire to the center pin, and ran it to battery ground.
Then i alternated another wire from the battery POSITIVE terminal to the two outer pins on the bpc.
I know this was "wrong" not because the outer pins are the grounds... but it didn't hurt the unit any...
after vigourously spraying it inside with brake cleaner, and much gunk coming out... i could hear a very distint click sound when the positive wire was alternated. It would also affect where the cleaner would exit out of the boc, like which hose terminal...
after it was clean and dry, i measured the OHMS between the center posts and outside posts... i think i got around three, but it was definately not SHORTED or OPEN... it was a number...
...so does this mean it's in "working" condition?
are there different levels of "good working" conditions with these?
i will try and talk my friend with a fast 92 turbo into letting me try his...
but since disconnecting the W hose "cures" my low power problem... does this narrow it down to the BPC, or could another part me the cause?
and most of all, WILL UNPLUGGING THE BPC for a few days help with anything? will it reset the base boost in the ecu or something?
thanks
