I cut "auto trans" wire to my ECU: pin 30, from fuse9

a while back i had a huge thread about the possible differences between ecu programs for man and autos regarding to my 1990 9000 turbo...
...it was unclear wether the power was different between them because of the ECU... but...
PIN 30 on my ecu is where FUSE 9's signal eventually ends up.
If you just pull fise 9, i think you lose cruise control among other things....
i cut the wire to pin 30, and organge wire, and hooked everything back up...
-no check engine light, GOOD!
-no ERR on the EDU, better!
-cruise still works, gettin super!
-car doesnt run any WORSE that's for sure... BEST!
wether there is a difference in programs in my year and model ecu, it doesn't matter...
my car is no longer and AUTO and it doesn't need that pin. For those of you with the newer auto cars that want to disable this pin, i highly recommend cutting the wire, it's pretty easy.
One of the things you WILL lose however, if you cars are like mine, by fulling fuse 9 or by cutting the wire by the ecu... is this:
There is an idle raising circuit, that raises engine idle speed in order to help the auto trans shift into gear... you'll be disabling that by fuse 9 removal or ecu wire cut... so be careful to not stall your car when shifting into gear... or give it some gas manually...
my manual car upon start used to REV all by itself up to about 1.5 - 2 on the tach, for about 5 seconds, then come back down... i never knew what that was, but when i cut the pin 30 wire, it doesnt do it anymore...
the ECU thought it was an auto in drive! haha.... it was a manual in neitral!
Have fun with the info everyone!
