Check this out...
This is the PERFECT solution for anyone who wants to link up a cd player or I POD to Stock saab radio, or ANY radio without a cd or aux input...
It's called an I ROCK cd to FM adapter...
I'll tell you a story...
I had to move in a U-Haul Van from Central Florida to Upstate Ny this last may. As cozy as the van was on the interior, there was but a single RADIO PLAYER!
NO CASSETTE! NO CD! NO NOTHIN!
So, 2 days of 12 hour driving with a radio didn't seem any fun, so i bought one of these adapters so i could "integrate" my portable cd player into the van.
You plug the adapter into the headphone jack of your cd player (or i pod)
you select an FM radio frequency band to transmit on (some will work better than others depending on where you are)
then you set your radio to the station you choose...
AND WHALLA! The cd player or i pod source will be playing THROUGHT THE RADIO!
It soudned good enough for my purposes... but it takes either batteries or you need to plug it into the cig. lighter... so i wouldn't really accept that as a permanent solution for myself... but you might?
RADIOSHACK sells them for uner $20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
good luck, glad i could finally offer you some helpful advice... i don't know why i didn't think of that before! ;)
