Measured voltage at pin 30--was about 13 volts and change.
Jumpered pins 30 and 87, pump doesn't run. I did this on my lunch break at work, so I'll have to clean the ground contacts tonight.
We'll see what happens then.
My confusion before was that I only looked on the sockets for the numbers, when they are printed on the relay itself next to the pin. I felt a bit silly when I figured that out.
I also need to take a look at my spare hydraulic unit to see how to get off just the pump. Anything that I can do with the pump to prolong its life? Any other tips on R&R? I'm assuming that the pump is connected to the reservoir, since the level goes down when it is running.
What about the ABS computer? How can I test it to make sure that it is running okay? Finding a "sloshing computer" makes me really nervous about its future reliability.
Thanks for all your help--I truly appreciate it.
