Hello everyone!

So, when i say weird, i mean WEIRD!!!

So since jak's shop visit, my car has been fast. How fast? i'm not sure, i need to dyno it, but fast enough to make me smile! 20 psi by 3,000 rpm... yay!

so, in the last 2 weeks, a strange development has begun...

when i start my car, sometimes i hear this very loud buzzing! like a constant "BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ"

it was pretty intermittent... As in,when engine started, sometimes it would buzz, sometimes it would not...

sometimes when it started to buzz, it would just stop by itself, and sometimes it would not!

but... i really wasn't concernd with it at first, as performance wise everything worked fine.

But the other day, i decided to check it out, and not let it go on any further.

I opened my hood, and tried to pinpoint the source of this buzz.

After a minute of checking, my search brought me to THE BPC solenoid, of all things!

I grabbed it with my hand, and i could FEEL it vibrating, almost as if the metal disc on the inside were going HAYWIRE! Which is actually exactly what is happeneing i think!!

when i unplug the three wire harness, the buzz goes away... plug it in, and the buzz comes back!

i Swapped the bpc into another known working 9000 turbo, and plugged it in... no buzz... but plug it back in my car... BUZZ!!

so, i'm dreading the thought that it's not the bpc itself, and it's somehting wrong with my APC system... (oh crap)

The bpc itself, is not even three months old, just purchased brand new for $200 from eeuroparts.com...

after i did my little test with swapping the bpc into my friend 92' 9kt, i put it back in my car, hooked it up (while still buzzing) and took the car for a spin...

it acts now as if the W hose is disconnected...

I got 22-23 psi in second gear... and it would have gone higher had i not stopped it... (oh crap on a crap cracker!)

so, i stop, and i unplug the three wire connector from the bpc, and leave the hoses attached...

same thing, it acts as the W hose is completely disconnected...

(crappedy crappedy crap crap!!!!) ;)

so... a few questions...

ONE: How can the current from the DI/APC system make the BPC BUZZ so loud, and violently???

TWO: Why didn't this affect my car's performance before i messed with it! WHy oh why does everything have to break more when i touch it! ;(

Three: Why does the BPC retain FULL BOST properties when the wire harness is disconnected from it?

Four: if it IS a problem with my APC system, am i going to keep frying BPC's when i connect them... and what would this problem with the apc be??? a bad ground to the di/ac box???

I think that i can muster up a wiring diagram of the di/apc system, and figure out which pins on the di/apc box run to the BPC solenoid... should i run my own wires from the di/apc box pins to the BPC and see if it still makes the buzzing noise? I guess this would be bypassing any bad wiring in my wiring harness...

jak, could weird parameters in frank's chip be freaking out the freqeusncy sent to the BPC???

weirdness...

as of right now, i'm driving around town being very easy on the gas, trying not to boost over 6 psi... which is base boost anyways...

i'm actually trying not to drive it at all.

I'm going to call eeuroparts and see if they will exchange it for me, i have the reciept, and i'm also going to try and swap my BPC out with another one.... but.. i have this bad feeling that the new one i try will get fried too... so...

anders? anyone have any ideas why this happens?
