That's good news to hear. Thanks. Imagine I lost some sleep fighting with myself whether to remove the head or not. I decided to not take the head off.
Called John at Rum's garage this morning about the drive cup. He is with me every step of the way. He's either going to ship me two FPT drive cups or both LPT drive shafts. I wish his garage is closer. The least I can do is pay for shipping.
I have one more question about timing marks. I put in the chains and cams from the old head of my 94cs. Timing is slightly disturbed but disturbed nonetheless. I am clear on TDC on the head. There is an index on each cam at the first holddown and the mark on each cam sprocket should be at 12 o'clock. But like you said at TDC the Woodruff key is not exactly at 12 o'clock. I located the TDC mark on the flywheel. But am not sure which mark on the engine end plate it should be lined up. There appears to be two. The SAAB Basic Engine Manual shows a picture I think from a pre-94 engine. Could you shed some light. I'll try to post a picture to night.
