I almost never machine rotors. Yes, a nicely machined rotor will provide slightly better braking and less pad wear than an unmachined rotor, but the difference is quite minor. I would machine a rotor IF it were exhibiting some warp, showing as judder in the pedal under braking, or if the rotor face were badly grooved. Otherwise, I just leave well enough alone. There is a minimum rotor thickness, and machining rotors only brings you closer to that limit.
As a data point, I have never machined rotors on any Saab I've owned. I've run cars to 160K miles on original, un-machined rotors. Of course, I've replaced pads before they've worn to the point to groove up the rotors, and none have warped. I've had one car that needed new rotors at 100K, because they had worn to the minimum and were warping slightly.
If the rotors aren't warped, and they aren't badly grooved, leave them be.
