I just removed the Disc from the left (driver's side) axle on my '95 9000. I don't see any evidence of rubbing on the back plate and the noise has been easy to hear inside the car when driving. The noise sounds like I am driving on rough pavement. It sounds almost like a low roar, but there is no significant change when steering hard left or right. I am assuming this means changing the wheel bearing hub assembly. This looks like removing four (4) torques screws on the back side of the hub. How do I get to the torques screws when the rubber boot seems to be in the way? Does this mean removing the large nut on the shaft to get to the four screws? I have the Haynes’s SAAB 9000 manual but it doesn’t cover front hub replacement.Where can I find a mechanic’s description of what to do?
