by pressing the Auto and Vent buttons (top left and bottom right) both at once and releasing them.
The system will cycle through the various settings - sit back and watch the pretty lights. If it finds any faults it will show how many there are on the display. These aren't fault codes - you have to have those read by a specialist - and it may miss something, like a stuck flap as mentioned by refeller.
Wheter you have fault codes or not, I suggest you check the operation of the recirculation flap. Take off the long lid to the acquarium (under hood, in front of wipers) and remove the pollen filter (rectangular plastic cover, two screws). Remember which way up the filter is fitted, by the way.
You can then see the flap and watch it working (or not working) when you press the Recirc button on the ACC header. If it doesn't work, the lever may be broken - there is a Saab kit to fix this. There are other flaps and motors you can find out about via a board search.
After resetting the ACC it's worth just leaving it on Auto: better for the seals, and really good at demisting the interior in double-quick time. But if you don't want to, you can still turn on the rear screen heater with the appropriate button while the ACC is in Econ mode, which gives you heating but not cooling. Off means Off but you will probably get air coming in through whatever flaps were open when you switched to Off. Always run the ACC mit cooling for an hour or so a week, however, or it will lose interest - and refrigerant.
